iCoil is a new technology that has become a huge rage. Why? Prior to answering this question, you should consider facing a mattress shopper. If you’ve been out shopping for mattress, you must be aware there are various kinds of materials in use today.
The task is quite daunting with air, water, latex, gel, memory foam, iCoil and various types of springs available in the market makes it difficult for the consumer. Despite a vast array of mattress available, about 75%-80% of Americans still sleep on spring mattresses.
Hence it is important you devote some time trying to lean the difference in springs and how they affect you. Most commonly used springs are Bonnell springs, so we consider them.
The bonnell spring mattresses are prepared by tying all the springs together as one and then enclosing them with a stiff wire, to chalk out a perimeter around the mattress.
Tying all the springs together basically gives you a great big spring. This design shifts motion from one person to another and is a very stiff material. If any part of that perimeter wire is bent, the mattress is bent for good at that point.
But now there is help in form of new technology called iCoil.
The iCoils are highly precision-made. So they can be compressed, rolled and kept in a box. When removed from the box, the mattress regains its original size and shape. No other mattress springs can do that.
So it is quite likely that this technology will soon be the future of mattress springs.
